A home warranty is one year coverage that covers major systems and appliances and could potentially save you hundreds of dollars. Standard coverage includes plumbing systems, water heaters, ceiling fans, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, doorbells, trash compactors and electrical systems. You also have the opportunity to add other major appliances to your plan. Yearly coverage starts at around $350 with service calls ranging between $60 - 70.
